Interior lighting that won't come on when the door opens, a wiper knob that does nothing, or a control lamp that has gone dark – on 240/260 models of model year 1979-80 it is often the switch or a worn door switch that has given out, not the cable. The controls sit exposed and wear from thousands of operations.

This group brings together electrical controls and the related small parts for these model years. The selection includes door switches, switches and knobs, plus bulb sockets, control lamps and bulbs belonging to the same circuits, along with caps and cross recessed screws for mounting. As 12-volt cars, the series shares a basic electrical system, but the design and connection can differ between early and later years.
When troubleshooting, it pays to measure across the contact before condemning the control – often it is oxidized pins or a broken door switch that causes the symptom. Also check that the bulb socket and bulb are seated correctly before replacing the entire switch.
