This group includes switches for the cabin and instrument panel, door switches for the interior lamp, warning lamps and bulb sockets, bulbs, cigarette lighters, a sensor, plus nut washers for mounting. A common check point on this job is the door switches – they oxidize and stick over the years, which both kills the cabin lamp and can cause a constant on-state that drains the battery.
The 1981-84 range falls between the 1981 facelift and 1986, and the design of switches and panels can differ from earlier 240/260. So compare the shape and contact pins against the original before replacing.
