Cracks in the protective boots and oil dripping under the steering box are classic signs of a worn CAM power steering – grit works its way in, and then the wear travels on into seals and tie rod ends. This category gathers rebuild and wear parts for exactly the CAM steering box with power assist on Volvo 240/260, so you can seal and freshen things up without replacing the whole unit.

The group includes bellows kits, gasket sets, O-rings, rubber rings and support washers, plus tie rod ends, clamps and oil pipes for the power steering pressure. A common checkpoint during a rebuild is to replace both protective boots and clamps at the same time as the gasket set – otherwise the power steering fluid soon pushes past again. With the MacPherson front end on the 240/260, play in the tie rod ends is also worth checking when the steering wheel feels vague.
