Volvo 140/164 Transmission/Rear suspension

A slipping clutch, a singing rear axle or clicks in the universal joint – the driveline is one of the areas where wear shows most clearly on a 140 or 164. From here you reach the subgroups that cover the whole way from flywheel to wheel hub, whether the job involves a driven plate replacement, a planetary housing in the M41 overdrive or leaking seals in the rear axle.
