A stiff accelerator pedal, uneven throttle response or a throttle wire that no longer delivers full shutter opening are classic symptoms of a worn Throttle Control. On the 240 with the B200 and B230A/K motors, the force travels from the pedal via a Throttle Control Cable to a lever at the Carburetor or Throttle Housing, and along the way sit the ball joint, bracket and return spring that together determine how precise the pedal feel will be.

This group includes the Throttle Control Cable and Control Cable, return spring, lever, ball joint, bracket as well as nuts and kick-down details needed during replacement. The cable's end fittings and mounting points are common wear points – a stretched or binding wire gives delayed throttle response and can prevent the shutter from reaching the fully open position. When refurbishing, it is worth checking at the same time that the return spring pulls the pedal back fully and that the ball joint in the linkage has no play.
Since the motor variant determines the mounting and cable routing, it is important to start from the correct motor code when selecting parts.
