Camshaft, right – Volvo 260, 760 (B27/B28 V6)

Camshaft for the right-hand cylinder bank on Volvo models with the B27/B28 (PRV) V6 engine. Unlike the inline four-cylinder engines, the V6 has one camshaft per cylinder bank – this one fits the right-hand side.

A worn camshaft causes rough running and reduced power, and in the worst case it can damage other engine parts. Fit a new one to restore your Volvo engine's original character and reliability.

Important when fitting
Always fit new tappets together with the camshaft, and apply running-in paste to the lobes and tappets during fitting. A new camshaft run in against worn tappets will quickly be damaged.

We also recommend an oil with zinc additive during running-in and in service, as it protects the lobes and tappets against wear – for example Kendall 20W50 or 10W40.
