Volvo B14A

An oil leak at the valve casing, tired compression or a squeaking motor mounting are typical reasons to get into the B14A. This 1414cc engine producing 51–70 hp was fitted in the 444 in 1955–1956, and during an engine rebuild it is crucial to separate the parts by carburetor configuration (single Zenith or twin SU) since this governs the cylinder head and intake.
