A creeping temperature needle, a corroded water pump flange, or a hose that has gone hard and is seeping at the clamps are classic signs that the cooling system on a B18 needs going through. This category gathers the parts that belong specifically to the B18 engine from 1962 onward, when the 544 got a five-bearing crankshaft and a 12V electrical system.

The group includes water pumps, radiators, radiator hoses and hose clamps as well as hose clamp kits, plus mounting kits with screws and washers for the attachment. During a rebuild, the water pump's bearing and seal, the radiator core and the condition of the hoses are typical check points — an old hose that cracks internally can choke the flow without showing on the outside. If you replace the pump, it's a good idea to renew the hoses and clamps at the same time, since they wear along with the engine.
