A clutch pedal that engages high, the smell of a burnt driven plate on a hill, or a growling noise when the pedal is pressed down are common checkpoints on the 122 with the B20 engine, which arrived in August 1968 for the final model years. If the driven plate is worn, it can point to a worn pressure plate or a tired release bearing – both should be checked at the same time since the gearbox has to come out anyway.

This category gathers wear parts and accessories for the B20 version specifically: complete clutch kits with driven plate and pressure plate, release bearing and flywheel bearing, plus clutch grease, guide pin, screw and spring washer for the installation. During a rebuild it is worth replacing the flywheel bearing and greasing the guide pin while everything is apart – a cheap move that saves a new pull-out further down the line.
