Cracked fasteners and lost push buttons are a familiar sight when the red trim in a 142 has to be taken apart and put back together. Color code 662-777 governs the shade, and checking exactly the right code against the car's Enamel Plate before ordering parts is worth the effort – a deviating red tone shows up immediately against door trims and seats.

This group includes the small mounting parts that hold the red interior trim in place: fasteners, push buttons, sleeves and socks, plus pliers for fixing buttons without damaging the panel or seat foam. These are typically wear parts that age, crack or go missing over the years and need replacing when the trim or door trims are restored.
Since the 142 is the two-door version in the 140 series, the door trim mounting differs from the four-door 144 – so check that the fasteners suit the car's specification before installation.
