Headlining Volvo 142

A discolored or sagging headliner and cracked old fasteners are among the things that often turn up when a 142 is freshened up inside. Since the 142 is the two-door version in the 140 series, the routing and mounting points of the headliner differ from the four-door 144 and the 145 wagon – so a common checkpoint is to make sure the mounting holes and the diameter of the fasteners match before everything is screwed down. The edge moulding is worth reviewing at the same time, as it often becomes stiff and cracks over the years.
