A stiff or binding choke control makes cold starting the twin carburetor on the B18B awkward, and a worn chokewire that does not return fully can make the mixture too rich during warm-up. This category gathers parts for the operating linkage between the steering and the carburetor on early 140 cars with the B18B – an engine that left the factory running twin carburettors.

The group includes the chokewire, the grommet for the cowl and the rubber ring that seals against moisture, as well as the lever and link, clamp, screw, nut and lock washer that hold the cable in place. During a rebuild, a common check is that the wire runs freely in its sleeve and that the grommet has not dried out and cracked. Since the linkage differs between single- and twin-carburetor engines, the version should be matched to the B18B before parts are selected.
