The hinges and mounts on the trunk lid take a real beating on a 164 – over the years the lid sits crooked in the opening, the hinge halves develop play and the screws rust solid. These are the parts you need when the lid has to be realigned or the hinges rebuilt on the 164 sedan from 1969 to 1975.

The range includes hinge halves, screws and flange screws, spring washers and washers, a spring pin, an O-ring and key blanks for the lock. A common checkpoint during a rebuild is the hinge mounting itself: make sure the spring pin isn't worn through and that the washers keep the play out before the lid is set against the edges. Replacing rusted-in screws with new flange screws makes the subsequent adjustment considerably easier.
