Ventilated front brake disc with integrated wheel hub for Volvo 740 and 760 with Girling brake system and 14" wheels.

On this model, the wheel hub, bearing and brake disc are built together as one unit. Volvo later replaced this type with a version where the wheel hub and brake disc are separate parts. It is therefore important to check which version is fitted to the car before ordering.

Important information

On this version, the wheel hub and brake disc are built together. From around 1988 there is also a later version where the hub and brake disc are separate parts.

Therefore, always check which version is fitted to the car before ordering.

Brake discs must always be replaced in pairs on the same axle. Replacing both brake discs gives even and safe braking performance.

Fitting

When fitting, the vehicle manufacturer's instructions must be followed.

• Contact surfaces must be completely clean and free from grease.
• Brake calipers and brake pads must be able to move freely.
• Check that the brake system and suspension show no abnormal wear.
• Wheel bolts or wheel nuts must be tightened evenly in a crosswise pattern to the specified torque.
