Important information

On this design, the wheel hub, wheel bearing and brake disc work together as one unit. The wheel bearing is fitted in the brake disc hub.

Around 1988 Volvo replaced this design with a later version in which the wheel hub and brake disc are separate parts. Therefore, always check which design is fitted to the car before ordering.

You can measure the diameter of the car's existing brake disc and compare it with the 287 mm dimension to make sure you choose the correct model.

Brake discs must always be replaced in pairs on the same axle. Replacing both brake discs gives even and safe braking.

Fitting

When fitting, the vehicle manufacturer's instructions must be followed.

• The contact surfaces must be completely clean and free from grease.
• The brake calipers and brake pads must be able to move freely.
• Check that the braking system and suspension show no abnormal wear.
• Wheel bolts or wheel nuts must be tightened evenly in a crosswise pattern to the specified torque.
