Oil leaks around the rocker cover are often caused by an old, hardened or damaged gasket. At the same time, check the sealing surface of the rocker cover and clean old gasket residue and oil from the mating surfaces before fitting.

Do not overtighten the rocker cover, as this can distort the cover or squeeze out the gasket and cause leaks.: 419678.
