Camshaft grind F for Volvo PV, Duett, Amazon, 1800, 140, B18, B20

Camshaft with F profile for Volvo B18 and B20. The F profile gives more power and a sharper character than the milder profiles, with a strong mid-range and top-end for street tuning. The profile is made for cars with a sports carburettor and does not suit a standard engine. It can also be used on the B20E after adjusting the fuel injection.

Installation

Always replace the valve lifters at the same time as the camshaft. Lubricate the lobes and lifters with assembly paste before first start. Tighten the camshaft nut to no more than 80 Nm and secure with a lock washer or thread locker. The cylinder head, front timing cover, timing gear and fuel pump on carburettor engines must be removed for replacement; the engine does not need to be lifted out of the car. Check the camshaft bearings in the block — the front bearing is often worn.
