Around 1988, Volvo changed the design of the hand brake cables. During previous repairs, many older vehicles were converted to the later cable type.

Always check which type of hand brake cable is fitted to the vehicle before ordering.

Installation

Inspect cable mounts, outer casing and adjustment components when replacing the cable. After installation, adjust the parking brake according to Volvo specifications.
