Hard hot starts, rough idle and misfiring often begin in the ignition – a worn contact point, wear in the distributor shaft, a failing capacitor or a tired ignition coil. On the 544 and 445 the engine and the electrical system's voltage decide which parts fit: the B4B at 1414 cc and the B16 at 1583 cc came in 6-volt versions, while the B18 at 1778 cc appeared in a 12-volt version – the voltage can differ between model years and affects the choice of ignition coil and accessories, so check which version your car has.
