The group includes ball sockets, wire clips and securing clips together with fasteners such as screw, nut, spring washer and lock washer, plus grommet kits where the linkage passes through the cowl. During a rebuild, dry ball joints and cracked grommets are typical points to check – new ball sockets and fresh clips remove the slack so both carburettors open at the same time again and the idle stays stable.
