A sinking pedal, leaking sleeves or a spongy feel after a longer period standing still are classic signs of a worn master brake cylinder. This category gathers parts for the 122 with the B20 motor, which arrived in August 1968 and ran the last two model years – exactly the period when the dual-circuit system became standard. The dual-circuit solution splits the front and rear brake into separate circuits, so a leak no longer empties the entire system at once.

The group includes complete master brake cylinders and master cylinders, repair kits with seals, bleeder nipples, O-rings and strainer, plus plastilube/grease for installation. When rebuilding, it is worth checking the cylinder bore for scratches and rust pits before fitting a kit – a pitted bore eats new sleeves in a short time. Also check that the design matches dual-circuit, since early 122 cars run a single-circuit cylinder.
