Rusty door bottoms and worn hinges are among the most common finds when an early 122 with a B16 engine is taken apart. Water collects in the lower edge of the door where the drainage holes clog up, and the result is rusted-through panels and doors that hang crooked against the pillar.

This category gathers repair parts specifically for the doors on the early B16 cars. The group includes a door panel and door bottom to replace affected sections, hinge halves and a split pin to take up play in the mountings, plus screws for fitting. For the welding job itself there is weld primer, auto body sealer and primer that cover the steps from cleaned-up metal to a repaired, paint-ready surface.
A typical check is to fit the new door bottom against the existing flange before welding, so that the hinge side and lock side meet the body evenly and the door closes without binding.
