Cracked rubber seals that let water in, squeaking hinges and door locks that wobble are among the most common issues on a rear door that has been rolling since the B16 years. This category gathers the smaller parts needed when the rear doors are to be sealed, adjusted and bolted back together on the 122 with the B16 engine – cars built before the switch to the B18 and the 12-volt system in 1961.

The group includes rubber seals and rubber plugs that seal against moisture, as well as fasteners such as screws, nuts, washers, lock washers and wave washers to tighten brackets and locks without the threads working loose again. Springs belong to the lock and latch mechanism. When restoring a rear door it is smart to replace the entire set of seals and fasteners at once, since old rubber has often hardened and rusty screws tend to snap during disassembly.
