A whine from the power steering at full lock or oil traces under the front end can point to tired servo lines or a worn power steering pump – common check points on the 940 with B204E and B234F. The pressure hose takes high pressure and hardens over the years, while the return hose and the sealing washers of the hollow screws are often the cause of slow seeping leaks.
