Volvo 240/260 Electrical equipment
A generator that won't charge, a sluggish starter motor on a cold morning or a distributor causing rough running – electrical faults on a 240/260 often come down to a few recurring spots. As 12V cars, charging and starting rely on the interplay between generator, battery and wiring, while the ignition system governs how smoothly the engine runs. On the later B230 cars the distributor and ignition components often differ from the earlier B21/B23, which makes engine code and model year decisive when ordering.
