Hand brake Volvo 164 (1967-74)
A slack hand brake that won't hold the car on a hill, or a binding cable after years of moisture and corrosion, are classic wear points on the 164. When the lining on the hand brake shoes has worn thin or the return spring has lost its tension, the grip slips, and that's when it's time to go through the entire hand brake.
