The relay has no latching function. It is the older type, with terminal markings to the Lucas standard.

This relay is intended for the early overdrive installation on the Volvo P1800 up to and including 1964 and must be used with a toggle switch. Because the relay has no latching function, it differs from later types of overdrive relay.
