Information

The design with a separate steel hub provides high strength and better resistance to load compared with simpler solutions.
This type also makes it possible to recondition the hub by replacing the brake disc once the wear limit has been reached.

For Volvo PV, this is only used when converting to front disc brakes.

Fitting instructions

• Thoroughly clean all contact surfaces of dirt, rust and grease

• Check that the brake calipers and brake pads move freely

• Make sure the braking system and suspension are in good condition

• Tighten wheel bolts or nuts in a crosswise pattern to the correct torque

Important

• Always replace brake discs in pairs on the same axle

• Replacing only one disc can cause uneven braking

• Always replace the brake pads when fitting new brake discs

• Avoid heavy braking for the first approx. 300 km to ensure correct bedding-in
