Seizing wheel cylinders, glazed brake shoes and worn brake drums are among the most common reasons to get into the front brakes on a 544 or 445. Since the cars ran hydraulic drum brakes in several versions, the chassis number and engine option (B16 and B18 respectively) determine which parts actually fit – something that is clearly noticeable between early and late 544 and 445.
This category covers more versions – see also the drawing for Volvo PV/Duett B16 · Front wheel brake Volvo PV 544 (B16) (CH -207865) · Volvo PV/Duett B16 · Front wheel brake Volvo PV 544 (B16) (CH 207866-)
