Brittle heater hoses, leaking gaskets and binding heater controls are among the most common faults in an early 122's heater package. On the very first cars with the B16 engine (chassis up to 13345), the ducting and mountings differ slightly from later model years, so it pays to check the details against the chassis number before replacing.
