A horn that goes silent or sounds intermittently is a common check point on later 940/960 – the fault often lies in a worn slip contact or a loose horn button rather than in the horn itself. This category gathers the parts that sit in and around the steering wheel center on the 1994-98 model years.

The group includes slip contacts and horn buttons for the horn circuit, frame and emblem for the steering wheel center, as well as crash pads. When restoring, you should check that the frame and crash pad fit exactly to the steering wheel's design, since the center's mounting and trim details can differ between early and late examples. If the rubber surface is cracked or the horn function is erratic, these families are typical parts to look over.
