On the 960, the front and rear silencers differ between cars with a rigid rear axle and cars with independent rear suspension, so check the rear axle before ordering.
The catalogue lists variants with and without a catalytic converter and with and without insulation, plus specific parts for the B230FD engine that also differ between left- and right-hand drive. Several parts changed at chassis numbers that differ between the 940 and 960 and between saloon and estate.
The six-cylinder 960 has a multi-section manifold, and the rear silencer comes with or without a welded-on tail pipe. Aluminised systems and long-life kits were available as optional extras.
