A sagging front end, uneven ride height, or a car that bottoms out over bumps often points to tired coil springs. On 700/900 cars, spring replacement is a recurring wear job, and the front spring works here together with the shock absorber in the MacPherson strut. This category gathers parts for the front suspension on the Volvo 940 up to 1998 and 960 up to 1994.

The group includes front springs and rear springs, lowering kits, shock absorbers, control arms with bushings, plus anti-roll bar rods and bars. While you have the spring off anyway, it's a good time to check the strut's mounting bearing and control arm bushings – the worn tapered bushings in the front tie rod are the single biggest wear point on this front end and affect both tracking and ride comfort.
It's best to replace springs in pairs so the ride height stays even from side to side.
