About ATE
What began in 1906 as a small workshop in Frankfurt, founded by Alfred Teves, has over the years grown into the world's leading brake specialist. As early as 1926, the Adler Standard became the first European car to be fitted with ATE's hydraulic braking system – a breakthrough that changed the motor industry forever. Throughout the 1970s, ATE equipped the Ferrari 365 GTB, Porsche 911 S and BMW M1 with four-piston brake calipers. In 1984, the company introduced the world's first integrated ABS system in series production – technology that has saved countless lives. PowerDisc, launched in 1996, minimised brake fade and extended service life, and to this day ATE stands for what has been the company's guiding principle from the start: German precision, original-equipment quality and uncompromising engineering. Here you will find ATE brake parts for classic Volvos – from the 140, 164 and 240 to the 740, 940 and 850. 1-year warranty, 90-day returns and worldwide delivery.
