Information
The hub around the outer bearing is slightly larger than original. Works with original steel wheels but may cause fitment issues with some aftermarket alloy wheels.
Important
Regularly check brake drum wear.
The inner diameter must not exceed 229 mm – drums worn too thin may crack under heavy braking.
Machining brake drums with cracks, deep scoring, or uneven surfaces is not permitted according to Volvo. If in doubt, replace the drum.
Tip
Remove and clean the brake system regularly to prevent damage caused by dirt or debris.
Note (early PV/Duett up to approx. 1957)
Original vehicles had different thread directions on wheel studs (left/right side).
New brake drums are supplied with right-hand threaded studs, which may require new wheel nuts.
